The lineup for Music Midtown was announced today. Headliners are Bruno Mars and Mumford & Sons. Weezer returns, having played the event in 2013. As does local favorite Collective Soul, who is always welcome. I read last year’s two-day event grossed $8.6 million in ticket sales from a total attendance of nearly 130,000, this according to Billboard. So the festival that died in 2005, was reborn in 2011, seems to be quite healthy. Tickets go on sale to the general public on June 23, but the pre-sale began this morning for e-list subscribers. The festival will be held in Piedmont Park on September 16 & 17. General admission for both days starts at $135. Check the website for the complete lineup and stage times.
